HUMANTAY LAKE FULL DAY
The Humantay Lake tour 1 day or full day, is for nature lovers, they will find spectacular landscapes like the Humantay Lake, snowy of Salkantay and amazing andean mountain views.
Pick up from your hotel at 5:00 am. The transport will take us to the town of Mollepata for a 2-hour period where we will have a semi-buffet breakfast and then continue for 2 more hours to the starting point of our hike (Soraypampa 3800 m. / 12467ft).
Before starting the hike we will give you canes and snacks and start with our hike. The time is approximately 1 hour and ½, arriving at the Humantay Lagoon where we will have a panoramic view of the Lagoon, the Snow-covered Mountain and a guided tour.
Then we will have to go down to the starting point (Soraypampa) and our transportation will return to the town of Mollepata where we will wait for you with a semi-buffet lunch and then return to the city of Cusco.

From March/April to November (or dry season) although it can be travelled all year round. Please note that if the weather is very bad, the trail could be dangerous and we may have to cancel the trip and perhaps replace it with another day’s walk or a day’s hike, depending on the circumstances.
This hike is classified as a moderate to challenging hike (intermediate to advanced) considering the high altitude, the amount of gain in a short period of time and the duration of the hike. It is recommended that you acclimatize in Cusco at least 2-3 days before this one-day hike.
The entrance tickets to the Humantay lake is 10 soles (around 3 USD) for Peruvian and foreign tourists, unless you are from Cusco, in which case the entrance is free.
