We will continue to Abra Malaga (4350 meters), the starting point of our bike tour. After a brief explanation to help you get your bearings, your guide will provide you with the necessary equipment for the activity. We will begin our 3 hour (9 55km) bike ride to the village of Huamanmarca.

During the ride we will experience the beauty of the snow-capped mountains and the rainforest. It is here, in the jungle, where our adventure in the Peruvian Amazon begins. We will cross small streams and enjoy the change from cold to tropical climate.

During the trip we will stop several times to check our bikes and equipment. We will arrive at the village of Santa Maria (1200 m.a.s.l.), where we will have lunch and spend our first night in a hotel.

In the afternoon we have the option of rafting on the Vilcanota River. This river offers category III and III+ rapids. For this activity we will provide helmets, windbreakers and category V life jackets. This activity is available from April to December, and you must know how to swim to participate according to Peruvian law.

Later we will cross a stretch of the Inca Trail that once connected the Sacred City of Machu Picchu with the last Inca refuge, Vilcabamba. Here our guide will explain a little more about the history of the Incas and also about the Inca communication system (the Inca Trail).

At this point we have the pleasure to experience some of the most impressive views of the Huancarccasa Canyon, to see the majestic Salkantay.

We will then descend to the village of Quellomayo, where we will enjoy a delicious lunch and a relaxing rest in the hammocks of the restaurant.
