The Sacred Valley of the Incas has a milder climate and lower elevation than Cusco and visits a succession of picturesque villages, agricultural terraces and archaeological sites. This region is exceptionally beautiful, so get ready with your camera.

This tour is the classic/traditional tour of the Sacred Valley where you will see the main sites in a very full day. In addition to the sites we visit on this tour there are other sites of interest in the Sacred Valley that can be visited separately (Maras, Moray & Salineras, Tipon, Pikillacta, & Andahuaylillas).

We recommend spending the night in the Sacred Valley to really appreciate and absorb the relaxed atmosphere of this place. This tour can also be added to the Machu Picchu Train tour or any other trek for the complete Cusco experience!

More details

For Explorape, the best time or month to visit Cusco is June, around the 24th of June, the main reason is that Cusco is on a holiday, so you can enjoy shows in the streets like: typical dances, folkloric parades, etc. This is without any additional cost.

You also have the option to see Inti Raymi, one of the most important festivities of the Incas.

But, you will see many tourists, and if you don’t like them much, you can visit Cusco in its low season, which is from November to April, although it rains in Cusco at this time, but something that is spectacular is that the mountains are green.

All year round, although the best weather is usually seen between March/April and November (or the dry season). This excursion is classified as easy to moderate as it involves a gentle walk in each site. This is a great day tour for acclimatization as it is a gentle hike at an altitude lower than Cusco. Please note that if the weather is very bad, the trail could be dangerous and we may have to cancel the trip and perhaps replace it with another walking day or a day hike, depending on the circumstances.

There is no difficulty in this tour.

Tickets are included.

If you wish to volunteer or donate, we can put you in touch with various communities in Cusco, who need help in various aspects, our main contact is:
Cristo Rey Tikari School: Located in Ocongate distric, close to Ausangate Mountain. They need some basic things like: clothes, toys, books, pens, pencils, brushes, etc.
